About the Carmichael DNA Surname Project

The founder of the Carmichael DNA Surname Project, Terrence Curtis Carmichael (pictured below), has a Masters Degree in Molecular Terry CarmichaelMedicine and Genetics from Wayne State University School of Medicine. In December of 1997, Terry founded one of the first DNA testing companies offering DNA surname testing, the GeneTree DNA Testing Center. Terry sold the company to Sorenson Genomics in 2001. Currently, Terry is serving as Director of Internet Marketing for GeneEd and sits on the

board at Consumer Genetics.

Terry's father, Terrence Kevin Carmichael, is a world renowned professional photographer and graduate from the well-recognized Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. He is now practicing with his own photography studio in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan.

Terry's grandfather is Curtis Charles Carmichael, a visionary in the copper and brass service industry. In 1951, Curtis was elected the first president of Copper and Brass Sales. He led the company to decades of growth and success.

The Carmichael DNA Surname Project was initiated in December of 2003. It plans to publish the DNA profiles on the internet in Mid-2004. As the project grows it will prove to be a great asset to those Carmichael's all around the world that are researching their family history.

On behalf of the Carmichael DNA Surname Project, I invite you to participate. Although the Carmichael DNA Surname Database will consist exclusively of Carmichael descendents, we are also encouraging others to participate through the Carmichael DNA Surname Project in order to get good pricing and a good service.
